My name is Teena and I am a Melbourne Jewellery Designer who has been creating Jewellery for around 15 yrs, it all started as a self taught hobby to satisfy my need to express my creativity. I first started with hand stitching then slowly progressed into using semi precious materials.
My passion for becoming a Melbourne Jewellery designer in the early days lead me to being published as a designer in Australia’s Leading beading publications such as AUSTRALIAN BEADING and CREATIVE BEADING as well as DIGITAL BEADING MAGAZINE.
After a while I wanted to expand my skill set & went on to complete my Diploma in Jewellery & Object design at NMIT as well as short courses in basic Silversmithing, Dye Sublimation, Cold Connections and Gem Setting.
I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of being creative and original as possible and draw my inspiration from many areas of my life, whether it be a walk on the beach or out taking photos of nature. I often find that the spark for an idea can come from the most unusual set of circumstances. I have a love of using unusual material in my work as well as a strong passion for upcycling & using sustainable materials where possible. You will often find many of my pieces blending various techniques together.
My studio is set in my home in semi rural part of Melbourne, Vic. Where we have an acre of land which houses our many animals and nurtures my love of gardening & growing my own produce.
